rite some of u will remember my car a while back and was a rite mess,but now i have changed the things that i thought needed changed finally got my finger out and the car should be ready for the next 3 weeks!had to put the pics over 2 posts so plz have a look!

Engine will soon be running, just waiting to get hold of a valve spring removing tool. Cheeze stuck the 1.3 head on, and we replaced all engine gaskets, water pump, timing belt. Also replaced the fuel pump and all nuts and studs.

Replaced door a week ago as the last one was well shot. Some little b*****rd stole a seal as walking past when I wasnt looking! lol

If you are wondering what all the dollops of filler is for, kicked door in a temper and creased it, now Im left with the lovely job of sorting it.

The wrap round spoiler is back on, and flushed in. Just got to fill the number plate light hole and reposition.

Some funny dents appeared on the roof, just finished filling them up and sanding them down.

Smoothed off the wiper hole for single wiper.

Brake servo painted same colour as engine and neatened up as you can see

I cant remember what it was like before, but its getting there now.
Personally i would of the left the exhaust/inlet manifolds alloy to break the red up a bit.
Looks nice tho.

i got some engine block paint from halfords that did that, was well expensive too

what colour you doing it then mate? should look well good. im glad its mk1 aswell! goos to see somthing different with the engine but the manifolds would look better alloy i recon, or at least the zorst one.

just got the car re primered yesterday,looking alot cleaner now lol
will get it updated soon! cheers for all the comments guys!
i know what u mean about the colour of the engine but if u c it in the metal it looks alot more red,as for colour its going babyblue,got three weeks to get it finished for crail so here is hoping the bank will give me a over draft lol :)

Hi,

Cars coming along a treat.

How did you do your bonnet (the bad boy bit).

I'm not doing a bad boy myself but am extending it so it curves down to go round my new lights (Punto ones). I'm interested to know how you attached the extension, what did you use (steel or fibreglass) and how did you bond it (welded, sikaflex, rivets etc).

What's it like underneath? Got any pics you can put up?
