twin linkage problem

i bought a twin linkage for my dhla 40s, the one that pulls from the side across the 2 carbs, however when connected to the lever in the centr eof the two carbs it hits an adjusting screw, and it appears you would never get full throttle anyway because of the length of the connecting rod etc

anyone ever had problems like this?

yeah i have. you bend the rod to miss.lol

nah the rod is already bent, as if its supposed to miss the screw but somehow it doesnt, and theres no way that it will anyway because of where it is, i managed to bend it at 90 degrees but you cannot get full throttle :confused:
