What is the quickest (best) way to get the vinyl off the tail gate and sides.

Heat it up with a hair dryer. Peel back one of the edges, and pour some really hot water down the bit you've peeled back, and continue to peel it back and pour the water down the edge your peeling away. You may be left with some adhesive residue on the panel, this should easily come away with a bit of T-Cut, or some GT85 on a rag.

The adhesive can be a bitch, but stick (!) in their and it will all come off eventually .

I got a wood sander attachment thing for my power drill and sanded my vinyl of my door. If you have a steady hand and use very fine sand paper you just take of the vinyl (and maybe a little bit of paint). I was respraying mine anyways so I wasnt bothered.

heat gun on low setting so you dont bubble paint - just point it at vynal and when it starts to turn remove heat and pull slowly. Take yer time - its a long process but worth it. be prepared for shock when you find all that hidden rust - specially round door bottoms!

Leave it on! you havent seen it mate, someone who owned the car before me tried to take it all off and failed, it looks shite.
