Alternator Chassis Mod

hi all,

can any 1 provide me with a pic of an altered chassis leg to accomadate the xe alternator, ive put a pic of mine up with a rough guide as to where i think its got to be done, but could do with seeing a pic of a compleated 1 just to be sure :D

ye, now were talking. is that definatly enough to clear the alternator ??

juts take a big hammer to it, its easier and more fun lol

Yeah should be more than enough, not my car just a pic i had but i used that as a guide for mine, just make sure you spray some waxoil up into the chassis leg to stop it rusting on the inside.
Yoy can also just bash it with a big hammer !?! but i'd rather do it by chopping & welding in a recess.

ric.666, is there a mod on the lower inner arch as well in that pic?

Think you are seeing a shadow off the engine mount strengthening plate. (it surrounds the mount)

i can see that there is the mod for the alternator abuts whats this all about?????:confused:

Who knows ? you don't need to chop / bash anything down there so don't worry about it !!

could be to clear bottom pulley if it hasn't been machined down to a single one, just a guess,
