-60mm Lowering & 15"s

Hi Guys - not a question! :)

Just like to report - for the people who ask loadsa questions about lowering and wheels etc (just like i did before i was in the know) - Did you know there was an artciale in articles section ;)

Lowered my car using chassis dynamic springs GTE ultra low ones -60mm, lowers my car more than that though because i have a 1.2 so i guess my car is lowered 85mm over base models, and i have some 15" 195/50/15 tigra wheels on

NO ARCH MODS :)

the same weekend i just meshed my grille as well :> im quite chuffed actually cos my car is starting to come along after toying with the idea of selling up im glad i stuck with it.

but it shows that you CAN fit bigger(ish) ok theyre only 15s! wheels (plenny of room to go bigger though i checked) and also lower it a considerable amount too wihtout any arch work

So you had a 1.2 nova on standard shocks and springs, then swapped them for -60mm shocks and springs..... and it has lowered your car by -85mm.....??
I am going to get my lowered in the very near future (a mk1 1.2 merit on standard shocks and springs), and would ideally like it to be 60mm lower...... and if a -60mm lowering kit lowers it more than 60mm why is it called a -60mm lowering kit.....??

The springs i bought are gte ultra low - 60mm so it lowers gte models by 60mm, but the gte as with gsi and SRs have lower suspension over base models such as 1.2s and merits like mine, so i reckon it has dropped it a tiny bit more than 60mm. i havent decided exactly how much is has dropped my car actually, i think its around 75mm
