ok thanks mate i'll have a look now
in short. not much cop on a std gte/gsi engine due to the uber mildness of the cam that you'd have to run to stop the ecu and afm giving up. in essence you either want to change the ecu for a mappable one and bin the afm, or go T40's route for a nice big cahooona cam

i would go for twin 40's but i have need a new engine and i found a lad who would deliver one for me and its got fast road cams so i just wonderd if they would make much difference and what they are worth, i have got a straight through ashley exhaust on it now and i will get a 4branch and a few other bits done once i have a decent engine.
but you think i will need a mappable ecu?wher can i get one of them from?
also whats the afm?
thanks for the reply mate.

is this what i would need?http://www.enginemanagement.co.uk/prod_management.asp
and i think i just read on here that you cannot get an upgraded afm?
well kms looks absolutely stunning for the money.. ive downloaded the manual and software and its simply fantastic!!! simple and intuative to use. Cant beat that.
BUT if the car drives "ok" with the cam then dont bother with the cost of the management... unless you know you want to have a play later on. You could always take the cheaper option of Megasquirt too

dunno what i want to do later on whether to put it on twin 40's(think i will do that when i have some money)
whats megasquirt?
megasquirt is a DIY (ish) ecu thats raifly cheap. big in the US and making its mark in the UK too... ive biult a unit and am planning a cheaper but as good version soon
