Hi people just bought a non runner xe engine and the guy said it had been cammed so i took the cambelt cover off and found that with the crankshaft pulley ligned up the cams were 90 degrees out ie pointing toward the front of the car is this normal with performance cams or should it have been timed up as per normal
they would be timed up more or less like normal

cheers stuart do you recon it had valve/piston contact?
ill use my psychic diagnosis lol
pass :p
Lol.
It depends why it was a none runner.
Fooked valves
or just not running for some other reason.
Valves might be ok if no one has tried start it.
Only way to make sure is strip it down.
