kent cam?

i bought a kent ast1 270 degree cam off ebay and fitted it in my 1.3sr and found that it hardly made any difference, the tickover is all lumpy which i expected to happen but it doesn't really seem to go much better, i was wondering if the cam wasn't a kent cam, but it did hav the numbers stamped on the distibutor end of the cam, but these could have been punched in, i haven't fiddled with the cam timing yet as i haven't had chance, but does anyone know if fiddling with that will help? any ideas?

it will be a very mild increase but nothing to jizz over. you need the carbs and ign setup on a RR to get the best from it

dunno stu mine was getting 105bhp on the rollers and we were moving the ignition and timing about for 40 mins and it put out 125
