If the rear suspension is turreted for coil overs, how vital are the chassis legs as the springs are no longer using them to hold the weight of the car?

If turreted with coil overs, it could mean the difference between loadsa money on doing the std legs to an acceptable finish or plating them up & turreted with coilovers......
One of my primary concerns is wanting it doing proper. The rest of the car is pretty spot on IMO & dont want it let down by being scabby underneath. (if I can help it)!
