I want to get some new front springs made for my LET nova. Im running the revalved courtney/Bilstein setup but there only 35mm drop.

I want to know what is the general spring rate people use. Ive been told 225 lbs all the way to 275 lbs. Anyone got an idea??

I've got some 300lb springs that im gonna be using on my coilovers (LET & F28), after searching thru loads of old posts that seemed to be weight alot of folk were running.
Not sure if it'd be much different than using fixed platform shocks ?

Ain't got it on the road yet so don't know what there like !!
I bought my GAZ coilovers off a mate who origionaly bought them to suit a 1.6 motor & GAZ supplied them with 250lb springs, i'm sure coilsprings 89 will be able to give you an idea of what you'll need.

even CP is running 300lb springs on his 1.4 lol.....

between 280 and 320 seems to be the norm for this kinda setup

We cut down a mates 2.0 Courtenay springs & they were fine.

Why dont you just send em to coilsprings89 & have them shorten them & wind in a couple coils. If you are happy with the ride, then just losing another coil or so should sort it.

Just spoke to coil springs in sheffield. Bloke was a bit ****y really . He said he makes courtneys front bilstien springs for them and there only 160 ft/lbs. He recommends 200 lbs for my car
Thing is he quoted me ?110 plus vat for the pair!!! And 25 working days for delivery! 5 weeks :x
