View Full Version : removing servo
how do i remove the brake servo i ve lost my haynes manual
You will first have to disconnect the brake bar from the rod going into the back of the servo. There's a pin holding them together IIRC. you will see if stick your head under passenger side dash and look up. Once that is free you should just be able to undo the bolts holding the servo on and remove.
so i need to remve glovebox so i can to the bar ?the pin that holds it can you use it again or do you have to buy another
You only have to remove the parcel shelf(according to haynes)
I didn't need to remove the glove box, I just crawled into the passenger footwell and undid the bolts.
Don't know about the parcel shelf as I never had a passenger side one, previous owner cut it off for some reason.
yea take off the parcel shelf then remove the pin!
its easier if you disconect the brake pipes from the master cylinder too, to decrease the chance of damaging them. The servo is held on by 4 13mm nuts undo them and it will come off! if it hasnt been off before it might need some perusading (sp)
hope this helps!
