Hi lads had some weber t40's put on my car yesterday along with a irmscher manifold and a uprated cam (dont know the spec on the cam). Some of you might know my old pierburg carb was playing up so iam buying one of a guy on here. But just the other day a guy approached me who i have spoke to before and asked if i want his t40's manifold and cam for 200 quid. So i couldnt say no!!! car runs fine with t40's on but is abit lumpy on idle (i think thats the cam) other than that only thing wrong with car is the alternator is on its way out, and squeeks like a bitch so gonna get it sorted and she will be fine.
I need to get the t40's set up proper on a rolling road but she is really quick now and pulls like a train. And the noise is amazing i have some pics=

Nice one.
IF your planning on getting a 4-1 performance manifold?
Get it before you have the carbs tuned.
its lumpy idle beacuse its not been setup yet... a good setup will have it idling better than std lol

no fuel reg?
Ye, thats a good point/\
You might be flooding the carbs slightly without a regulator.
I think the mechanical pump supplies slightly too much pressure for the carbs.
Mine ran fine without a fuel reg and TBH the one that was on there was a complete pain in the ****.
by the looks of the cam cover it's a 1400

the best place i have found locally is geoff bloor garages in notts. they are next to forests ground.
i didn't run a regulator on mine for over a year
