C20 XE Enlargement

How much can you increase the capacity of the C20XE, can it go out to around 2200cc or will this make it less revvy?

depends how you do it..
you can "stroke" it to give a longer stroke, that will make it less revvy, but may increase torque due to the increased leverage.

also you have to bear in mind taking the engine "out of square". This can give issues in itself. plus the rebore would need to be emmence (88mm and std stroke takes it to about 2.09L and thats putting the cylinder walls uber close together.

your probably better (and cheaper) off getting a newer 2.2petrol engine and tuning that

didnt say it was impossible ;).. just said it would be expensive lol It would probably have been cheaper for your mate to get a 2.3 millington engine lol
