theres various things you could do. The obvious thing would be to make some kind of recess in the bumpers (similar to a corsa). You can get reflectors (standard strips) off ebay that you can mod to do the job.
Best thing I would suggest is take a look at other cars rear ends and steal an idea - then all you have to do is buy the reflectors from the manufacturer in question (shouldnt cost that mush) and make a recess in your bumper (simply a case of removing bumper, drawing around the reflector, cutting out the shape, fixing a plaxtic mounting from behind to fill the hole then sticking the reflector to the new recessed bit). Your bumpers about 3mm - 4mm thick so should look okay!
You can also get reflector tape to go round the black edges of the rear lights.

anyone know the laws on tailights concerning reflectors etc?
check dvla website - will tell you (somewhere).
Think you have to have something...Id get some anyway - last thing you need is some blind granny ramming your offside when your parked on the road at night!
You need reflectors to pass an MOT.
Reflective tape is not acceptable as a substitute for a rear reflector.
...so no tape either :(
mine passed without relfectors and clear rears...
Thats a mistake on the part of the tester then - the manual has a whole section on checking the rear reflectors!

put some sticky reflectors on your number plate.
Go for some round ones and just get a hole saw on the bumper! Nice and easy.

a whole section
ahhh well, the clears are coming off mine, dont even like them
I got away with them tonnes of times, But always knew it was at the MOT testers discretion. They are illegal.
only illegal, if you dont have red rear reflectors

Some clears are legal with the reflectors in (E marked) otherwise I'd get some from a cycle shop. They usually chuck em out by the sack load so should be pennies.
mine are emarked, but have got clear reflectors.....
mine are emarked, but have got clear reflectors.....
Reason for rejection:
...
2. A reflector
a. not facing the rear
b. not red in colour

i no they have to be red, knew that before i got the lights ages ago
