Whats the best way to refit the screen?
the haynes way of putting the seal on the glass, some tough string round the inner seal and putting int while pulling out the string.
OR
have the seal on the car and put the screen in with some sort of levery thing??

I've always put the seal on the glass - cord/string around the inner seal - with the two ends joining at the middle at the bottom - place the bottom of the screen on the nova - and apply pressure from the outside whilst pulling the two cords from inside the car !!!

Never had any breakages yet !! ((reaches out to touch wood) not what all you pervs are thinking !!!! LOL)

Last time I had a screen replaced at auto-windscreens they said that they prefered to put the rubber on the car first and then put the glass into it. From what I can remember they used a couple of screwdrivers to pull the rubber over the last, difficult bits, but the guy doing it did say "this could go wrong" at the time. The main reason for doing it this way is it doesn't pull all the tiger seal out over the interior (if you've put some on the edge of the frame).

I can see the reasoning behind mikey's method - if tiger sealant is used - not the easiest thing to remove from the roof lining !!!

All the screens I've fitted - I've never use tiger seal !!!

Not had one leak yet !!! - maybe I'm just lucky

fit the seal to the screen, use cheap plastic coated washing line, and be brave.......
