if upgrading from a 1.2 carb lump to a 1.6 gte lump (that'll be running on carbs) what happens with driveshafts? Are they the same? the std. 1200cc jobbies will fit/cope fine with the e16se & f13 'box??
1.2 will be fine, i can see any difference between them
they looked the same as my 1.0 shafts, the gte one's i've got on my valver

thought so.. other than the standard suspension and brakes being vented and the rollbars being bigger on the gte, what else is 'uprated/oversized' on the gte compared to the 1200's?
radiator?
fuel tank?
thats all i can think of
Brake servo is uprated ;)
got them little plates on top of the struts aswell

what about tie bars.. im not even that sure what they are - i guess they live near the front rollbar.. they uprated?
got the strut tops
got a cav 2.0 servo
got a 22mm gte front rollbar
going for twin 40's so no need for tank n lines, but ur right ste..
Nah, tie bars are 2mm thicker.
I would remove the arb completely and just run it with the GTE tie bars...

The gte/sri/gsi and td shells were made from 0.4mm thicker steel at the front.
