Hi guys,

Been busy on the model front - currently making 5 models (I'll post pics of these once complete) - however thought Id show you Will's (and my first ever) Nova Sport...

It's not 100% complete - just needs a polish, the gutters and a couple more transfers adding.

Let me know what you think...

Me want !

my Dad actually has amongst others a Corghi Nova sport in BP livery. He wont let me have it.

It was a freebie with Texaco fuel tokens back in the 80's IIRC

the side details are transfers I made up on special decal paper. Was an absolute biatch to do - Ive never actually seen a sport up close and personal (except pics) to know if its the right shade but from the pics I have it looks about right.

Craig - you can get the little BP Novas off ebay for about ?3!

It is quite impressive, and i dont wanna sound harsh, but doesnt look 'quite right', proportions maybe.
still amazing for a home build tho :thumb:

perhaps its the photos - but it is to scale and is in proportion. Its difficult to actually replicate a car to scale working only from photos and line drawings - especially as I havent actually seeing a sport in the flesh and therefore have no frame of reference to draw from - however I'm happy with it. It looks better up close.

As for wing mirrors - most sports had 1 but I made 2 - theyre yet to be stuck on so I'll check before hand with the pics I have.

If you look on ade's website he does models of peoples cars. Yes you are right that the sports only had 1 wing mirror but the car that this model is a copy of has both mirrors on it, therefore the model is 100% accurate

Im giving serious thought to having a copy of my sport done ade. Just one thing ive noticed on closer inspection of these pics (and im certainly not gonna pick at your work, which i think is amazing) but the stickers down the side look to be 1 piece as in they dont break at the door edges!

My dads sport has 1 small mirror on drivers side and a large one on the passenger (both the old style)

shy witness - yes he is.

It has 2 mirrors

cheshire sport - youre right the transfer is one long transfer - the next batch I'll make in 3 parts - it'll make fitting them a hell of a lot easier that's for sure!

I need to change the exhaust to red as well - just noticed on pics its red.
