wide arch kit sideskirts help me pleassse

im half way thraugh the wide arch kit and ive smoothed in the sideskirts and when i came to put the door on to c how much clearence i had , it wauld not close the sideskirt is in the way of the bottom of the door and i wont close at all i dont want to grind all the work down ive done but i dont think theres any other way has any one had this problem if so how did you solve it any advice wauld be great thanks guys :cry:

If the side skirt wraps up over the sill (on to the door up to the rubber) it maybe that the fibreglass is too thick there and it needs skinning down.

Alternatively, the edge of the skirt maybe too square for the bottom of the door - close the door as far as it will go and check to see where it catches, mark it and assess from there (if its the top, take it back a bit, if its the edge round the corners etc...)

When I fitted the Vauxstyle skirts on my old hatch I had the same problem, as Ade said though it was the fibreglass was a little too thick. Quick bit of sanding and a few minor chops and it went on ok.

thanks guys looks like a bit ov chopping is needed il go do that
