they dont actually look bad, youl eat wheel bearings, eventually warp hubs and ruin ball joints/steering racks! very hard too steer and no lock to lock

As said they will ruin your entire suspension setup and make your car drive like **** on wheels. They do look good but only are good if the car is just parked up at shows.

the car is built for pure posing power and is built for shows and cruising but when im gonna go on long journys ive got a set of 17s aswell

hope your planning a V8 to turn those huge wheels lol :) true though what was said, eating wheel bearings, would;nt imagine youd get more than 5 months out of tiny nova track rod ends, and of course possible long term damage. Have you got a XE in your nova, as those wheels will sap up alot of power.
never seen that dark blue one before. and i actually like it, especialy if it had big power! dont usualy like kitted up nova, but that one got me thinking. (not guuna do it to mine thou!)

Balls its been lowered 100mm !!
The alloy sits level with the arch, most Nova running 15's / 16's with a decent drop have the alloy sitting level with the arch, if its lowered 100mm on 19's then the arch has gotta be down over the alloy at least 2" !!
I think its quite amusing what people claim ... its lowered 120mm on 22's ect !!!
Yeah what ever ! lol

I'm curious about the tire size in 19 inch. Must be a much bigger diameter then 175/65 r14 on a gsi nova.

I'm curious as to why you bumped an old thread?
I'm relieved there's not a new thread created about 19s on a Nova in 2014 lol

Because I started to fit 18s on my nova. And I also checked out some 19s tires, but the diameter was way to much.
175/65 R14 = 58,3 cm diameter
225/30 R18 = 59,2 cm diameter
The "smallest" 19" tire I could found was 215/35 with 63,3 cm diameter.
But maybe, they used another tire size? That's all...

Some of my answers must released by a moderator, but they didn't release them.
Sadly, my pm's are also ignored.
Is there no 18" and 19" nova alive anymore and could tell me his tire size? :(
What are you whinging about not being released?
No one fits stupid wheels to Novas anymore, so you will have to do the home work yourself.
one thing is for sure, 19's tend to come in wide sizes which will be the real killer on a car only ever intended to have 14" skinny wheels.
novalew
12-01-14, 10:26 AM
Those rs gts were 7 inc wide iirc
you can fit anything you want. if you chop the body so they fit.
then the brakes look too small.
and the suspension will not be very good...

I just don't like the look of novas on huge rims the body is just too small

Errrrr, care to elaborate, or was it because an admin replied with a 'work it out yourself' reply and of course we are utter *******s.... Pick your words carefully.

The guys asking for a bit of help that's all. We don't consider big wheels a plausible choice but on the continent there is a large contingent that do. It's one of the few things their laws/mot regs allow and they pay a hefty price for it.
I personally don't know what tyres would fit but I think they may have to be a custom item. Maybe wise to contact a local tyre shop and go from there. :thumb:

Because not one person offered the guy any help. I don't think your *******s either. I think this is a great site and iv been on it for years but I'm not sure ze German will be back in a hurry when even the ******* admins chucking him ****e replys.
that is all.
All I said was to work it out, get off your high horse.... Its really not hard get in there witha tape measure and see what will or won't fit.
Also I said its been a long time since anyone did something like fit massive wheels to a nova, hence the lack of ANYONE saying xyz will be fine, not even yourself ;) so before critiquing maybe you should offer the solution first.

If thats the case why ask on here. We have very few foreign members so he would be better off asking on a local forum

I never saw a nova with 18 or 19 ich rims in europe, except of some british nova's. So I asked here about a tire size with a smaller diameter than 215/35 R19. Or someone, who's driving 18 or 19 inch rims on his nova. And I got the answer, that I'm whinging.
So problem solved..... isn't it?
