My mk2 passed MOT with no side repeaters.

hope it does pass wont be for a while but i know a few people that work at garages that should pass it and even if i have to slip a few extra quid on the sly to pass it i'll do that lol

if holes are not there then they dont need to be fitted, thats what it says in the testing book

ah thats it then it should pass then :) also could anyone tell me and correct me if im wrong please, is it stone chip which is coated under the car and inner wings?on mine it has come off in places is it much to rip it all off and have it done again or would it be better to get the bits which have pealed off covered again?also how much does it cost and do they do it at most garages?
thanks.

Just slap some WaxOyl on places where the coating has come off.
Wire brush it first to make sure theres no surface rust.

IIRC the governing rule is weather or not the front indicator can be seen giving off amber light when the tester is stood in line with the rear of the car, but 1 metre away from the side of it. If in the testers opinion there isn't enough of a flashing amber light to make an idication of changing direction they can fail it and request that side repeaters are fitted. Nova's have mainly been considered ok because of an older piece of legislation which said that if wrap-around style front indicators having a side-on size of greater than 65mm were fitted then there was no need for a side repeater.
One other thing to bear in mind, If someone t-bones you whilst your'e making a turn, and you don't have side repeaters, Chances are that you will be charged by the police for failing to signal your intentions, regardless of weather you had your indicators on or not.
