engine combinations!!

What is the best engine combination to use?
ie: which block and which head for best CR and power?
Heard of 1.4 bottom end and 1.2 head (both carb)
any others?

Just planning for my nova, it's just a 1.2 carb at the moment

1.4 block and 1.4 sri head would be better, but if your not using T40s its no good for you. The 1.2 head would be an improvment though on a 1.4 carb block if your sticking with your orignal carb, you'd up the cr ratio.

plus u'd need a 1300 sr inlet manifold for your 2e3 carb, it would'nt be worthwhile using a 1.2 carb, the 2e3 from an sr would be best

cool thanx, well got my 1.2 head, already got myself a 1.3 inlet manifold and i'm getting the carb from a mate who has a 1.4sr, if his block is still ok (don't know whats wrong with the engine yet) i'l get block and box off him too.
Then i'm in business :)

be carefull with the 1.2 head on the 1.4 bottom end as the CR might be too high and either cause massive Detonation OR it wont start/stop, and youd have to run such wussy ign advance that you'd have naff all power

in that case you maybe safer off with the 1300 head. And as mentioned the webber carb would be alot better than the 2e3. More power, more reliable.
