Evening all,

Just a quick one, I was looking at fitting a boot release. I still have all the locking mechanism in place and have no desire to lose this. I can see that it would be feasable to have the solenoid pop the catch in the locked position.

Any ideas as to which solenoid to use and a rough layout in the boot? Or would something from another vaux drop in?

IIRC you can pull the operating rod while the push-button is locked and it'll still open, all you need to do is set up a solenoid to do the same, I'd use one of those that look like a starter solenoid myself, as every time I've used a normal central locking one they've tended to melt after a while.

That was what i was roughly thinking, I was just wondering if vaux had come up with something new!

I got told I was too skinny by the quack so thought i should do less lol
