hi anybody...
will a 1.3 sr head go on my 1.4 engine block and will it up the compresion ratio or bhp or am i wasting my time thanks mart :confused: :confused:

no worrys mate i just put an sri head on my sr and it makes a lot of difference i think benji noticed 10+bhp but he has 40's cam ect
Ma Cars A Belter But Still Sluggish Through The Gears. Top End Cant Complain , Third And Fourth Gear Sluggs. Resistor Chipped Too. Is This Common???

my second sri was pretty **** actually i only had iy a week though before some tosser ****ed it. it was quite slugish like you say. my first however was rapid i dont know if the gear boxes were different at production but they were both unmodified. my first one had an cone air filter and a gutted cat.

check your gearbox fd, plus maybe your ignition timing is abit out, would cause it being sluggish geting up the revs. That's if you have a dizzy and not a diz pack, but i don't think that any 1.4mpi came with this type of ignition

Some Sri's had a dizzy.
Should have a pretty close ratio box too as these engines came with the highest final drive of all small blocks IIRC
remove that resistor "chip" its wasting fuel and power.
check your gearbox fd, plus maybe your ignition timing is abit out, would cause it being sluggish geting up the revs. That's if you have a dizzy and not a diz pack, but i don't think that any 1.4mpi came with this type of ignition
most SRI's had the dissy, only very late SRi's had the dispac
