Recaro's

Will proper recaro's as in the ones that are put in rs turbo's, and alfa cloverleafs fit in a nova. Are there subframes around that will fit, or can i bolt the ones off my standard sri seats on? Also does anyone know if yo would still be able to pull them forward to let people in the back?

They wont fit in str8. you have to take the sub frames off them and swap them for your nova ones. easier than you think.

they will only pull foreward if thats how they were made. RS ones will.

Don't know if you now this or not, but the SR/i and Gsi (later models) seats are actually on a recaro frame. I know the Fiesta RSTurbo ones look nicer and are probably more comfortable, but if you're after a set of Recaro seats, why not stick the Nova ones in? Or if you have them already, get them re-upholstered and perhaps padded out a little more to make them indivual?

the Alfa cloverleaf ones use slightly different frames mate because the front part of the seat is adjustable (it pulls forward and backwards to supports your legs), They look amazin too. How much would you be lookin @ to re-cover my front seats with the arms in a leather or fake leather type of thing?

The Ford Recaros also have the adjustable base to support your legs.

As far as I knew, you could fit the Escort RS ones using their original frames/runners since they have four flat base mounts that you can bolt straight to the floor.

My mates MKIII XR3i has RS Turbo Recaros in it and they look like they'd be a dead easy fit in a nova using the seats as they come. You can also fit them on either side of the car as they're symmetrical....they even have the tilt-levers on both sides.

Not much to retrim the seats -if you prepared to get your hands dirty (and sore!) and do it yourself!

RS Turbo recaros are probably the best seats you can put in.

hey seen as your on about seats has anyone got SR subframes spare that i could purchase???
i've had my seats in the garage for f*ckin ages X-(
