Is a GSI Bumper any deeper than a standard mk2 bumper? i.e will it sit closer to the ground or does it merely have a slight front protrusion/lip

Cheers :thumb:

As far as I know it isn't any deeper than a standard bumper, it just looks that bit deeper because of the protrusion.

the gsi will be lower to the ground yea,
as its got an extra bit it,so its taller/deeper what ever you wanna call it,

as said by benn, the gsi is slightly lower than the standard mk2. its not by much though, maybe an inch.

Nar, its the same.
I remember measuring mine because of that, i thought it would be closer to the ground so catch speed humps etc.
But its the same.
Its just on GSI the bottom edge points forward, it curves round under the bumper on std mk2.

I measured from the top edge to the bottom edge on both, and im 95% sure they were identical.
They just look deeper because of the lip.

On second thoughts, i think Ben is right. lol
I remember the GSI has the plastic rivet parts underneath, and there an inch or so higher.
So the bumper must be about an inch lower overall.

Lol

its deeper by about 1.5 inches. I measured an old standard one against the GSi one I have.

Its not alot but its enough to allow you to add a decent splitter and make it look 1/2 decent...

It also sticks out at the bottom more - the standard mk2 bumper come back in, where as the GSi as the lip.

I think because it just looks chunkier the perception is its bigger.

And unless you slam it on its ring and stick 13" steelies on it youre not going to have a problem with speed bumps.
