Doh! help!

Iv tried flushing my boot, but its all gone tits up!
Welded the plate on, that was crap, so i pulled the bottom down and tack welded it 2 the boot. Tried filling it but its just not gonna work looks crapy already
Iv got a cunning plan! fiberglass the whole back end! ne1 think this will work? iv got a litre of resin, and some activater, whats the mixture? i no how 2 do the rest thanx in hand

dont do it, after a small bit of time it will all crack and fall out, do what lancy did and pop rivet a plate over the lenth of the boot or get it done by a pro, but dont compleatly fiberglass it.

I agree, if you fibreglass only, it will eventually crack. Last thing you need is a big bit of your boot falling out! A mate of mine flushed his boot and it looked excellent. The cars since been written off but the boot survived A1 - if your looking for a boot and cant be arsed spoending time/money etc let me know - he might sell it. Its no good to him
He did the following to his -
Used a grinder to cut 2 grooves at the sides where the boot goes in. Slid a sheet of metal in between the grooves (v tight fit) and welded from behind, then filled the gap where the number plate used to sit to the new sheet with expanding foam.
Coz he now had to smooth the new sheet with the rest of the boot, he fibregalssed the area and catalloyed (?) over the fibreglass. Did it a couple of years abo and last I saw of whats left of the car it still looked minted. Says it took him a couple of daya
