from this (http://www.novaload.net/forum/showthread.php?p=493738#post493738) thread fit without having to cut the dash?
I just want to be sure as I recently bought a pair of clear indicators, which later turned out to be for a mark II :( , and I don't want to get it wrong again :).
Hmm, weird, your clocks are identical to my mk2 clocks, but you have a mk1 dash.
Unless some mk1 clocks have the same dials as mk2, but with a different fitting.
Mk2 clocks wont fit straight into a mk1 dash, as the lug bits are different.
Those 6dial clocks are mk2

OK, so assuming the dials I have are a mark I fitting, how much work is it to fit mark II ones? Is the shape of the unit itself the same?
Give it some rev

its probably easier to sell the mk2 clocks you have and buy a mk1 clock set
the shapes the same, but you will also need the black plug that plugs into the back of the dials to wire it into your nova.....
mk1's have 10pins, and
mk2 have 12 pins, i think, something like that, i know mk2's have 2 more pins that the mk1's

So I'd be better off waiting until I see a mark I set?
Any ideas on what the extra two wires do?

On mk1 6-guage dials the feed wires for the revs and oil pressure are seperate to the main plug, I think they're built in to the plug on mk2's.

Thanks guys :).
I think I'll keep my eyes peeled for a mark I set then.

the rev-counter wire is, but the oil pressure is still seperate

Thanks for clearing that up ste, don't forget the antibes also had 6-dial clocks, but with two of the smaller ones missing.
Mk2 clocks have them 3 lugs on the case.
Mk1 dont.

I'd take this opportunity to replace your mk1 dash to mk2 - much nicer and more modern looking. Not too much work either.

Really? Mk1 dashes look so old and plasticky! The mk2's have a nice modern curved look 2them. I think its nicer than the corsa dash too.

But the nova is full of straight lines, so the straight lined dash fits with it.
I'll probably be dying the dash black when I've got the confidence to remove it to do so (and am home from uni) :).
