sure you can buy rally versions from demon tweeks think they are bolt or weld on and have a quick release on them ?

Sure some Nova's have larger spare wheel wells than others ?
I can fit a 15" with a 195/45 in my A reg no probs !!!!

I can't fit any of my astra gsi alloys in the spare wheel well in the astra, the nova just laughs at me if I try to put anything bigger than one of the origional alloys.

i have the steelie off a 2litre MK3 astra sport. (2 litre brakes :thumb:)

15 inch wheel with 185/55R15 tyre on it

fits ok. slightly higher than the standard steelie but it is wider after all

fitted an MDF false floor anyway so no-one will know!!

why do u care if the plastic thing wont catch - unless u dont have rear seats or you drive really really fast over speed bumps

it fits in the well but the plastic screw bit wont reach the thread.
and dont have back seats and its just for peace of mind

If you know anyone in the engineering trade or who has a lathe you could get them to turn up a cylindrical block with a thread cut into it then weld a flat plate across the top....

stick some foam in the wheel arch and stick the wheel in face down.

That way the thread will go straight through the centre hole and you'll have all the thread you need.

Plus (providing it fits) you'll have a little well to put stuff in!

What about getting a plastic wheel nut from another car?
