I've tried ebaying it and after a lot of interest, it didn't sell. I would much prefer selling the car as a whole so i'm putting it up on here before selling it in pieces. I'm looking for ?450. Due to the fact it has not tax or MOT i may be able to deliver the car, the cost of this will depend on distance. The car is located in Milton Keynes.

I bought this Nova last year with the intention of using the shell for a project and ebaying the engine. After deciding i wanted to use a Mini instead, the car has been sitting for about 7 months with the new intention of using it as a track car. But after that idea going nowhere and the addition of a new car to the driveway the Nova has to go!
Let's start with the good bit, the engine.
It is a 1.3 block with a polished 1.2 head, Twin Weber 40 carbs, Irmscher inlet manifold, KP (King Piston) race pistons, ARP rod bolts, piper cam (not sure of the exact type, but most likely a 285) and an adjustable vernier pulley.

The head gasket went whilst being driven by the previous owner, he subsequently had it repaired, head skimmed, and new head bolts. While it was off the road he also had the carbs rebuilt, the 285 cam fitted, and had the carbs tuned on a rolling road. I have the printout for this that shows max power: 115BHP @ 6460 Rpm and max torque: 109 lbft @ 4012 Rpm.

This work came to a total of ?1098.47, i have the receipt, and was carried out by "Jam Sport" who are based in Northampton.
Also in the engine bay is an adjustable strut brace and an oil catch tank. One of the carb screw-on covers is missing. There is no exhaust on the car. I mocked one up from a standard 1.2 header and downpipe which bolts to a motorbike can, however this was only built for a test run on private land that never happened.
The previous owner did mention a misfire at full throttle and high Rpm, i haven't had an opportunity to drive it further than a few metres so i haven't experienced it.
It has G-max suspension with 40mm springs all round, these appear to have been on the car for quite some time but still offer a very stiff ride.
The brake calipers are from a 2 litre GTE, powered by a mk3 Astra 16v sport master cylinder and servo. There are Red-Dot discs and pads on the car, but the discs are rusty as the car has been sitting for a while.
15" fox evo 5's in an anthracite style colour with falken ze512 tyres, rears are legal by about .5mm, fronts have lots of tread.
The bodywork is a bit tatty, there are a few dents and scrapes. However a lot of welding was done for its last MOT in the inner arches and some spots in the engine bay so structurally it should be ok. A pair of front wings will be supplied with the car. It is black and has a red bonnet with a scoop. This may not be to everyones taste, but i have to admit it does make it stand out, and the scoop is actually functional for getting air to the carbs. There is a crack in the windscreen on the edge of the drivers side, the rear wash/wipe function does not work, and the trim is missing from the drivers door.
The interior has been completely stripped, all that remains are the dashboard and front seats, the right hand bolster on the drivers seat is very worn. As far as i know, the temperature and fuel gauges do not work, and the hazard light switch has permanently switched itself on so i have removed it (seems to be a common problem with vauxhall hazard switches). The electric windows still work though. It is fitted with a cobra alarm and central locking, it seemed to work when i collected the car last year, but it doesn't seem to do anything anymore. There is only one key and one keyfob.
There is no service history with the car. All i have is the V5, rolling road printout, Jam Sport receipt and the old tax disc. It is currently SORNed.
Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions as i am still in contact with the last two owners.
