2.0 8v wiring

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or any info on wiring the engine loom to the nova loom for a 2.0 8v into a 1.2 carb? is it just colour to colour like wiring an xe? Any help would be appreiciated!

not done a 1.2 before but the 8v loom is like the XE. Its self contained and all ya need to start it is the thick wire with the ring connector on it. That goes to the battery.

The small 1 pin plug near the coil is the ignition switched live. That connects to the black wire on the nova loom. Try connecting it to the black wire that came out of your own 1.2 coil.

Make sure the earth strap is on.

Now the fuel pump on your car is no use. Replace that with an MPI pump.

Now you need to run a wire from the pump so she has power.

Thats really all ya need to get the car started.
