hi i was wondering i could have some of you help and knowlegde


i was wonder if you could tell me wot parts i need to convert a 1.2 l merit to a 2.0i single cam 8v engine out of a cavy?


i will have a nova 1.2 d-reg merit.

and a cavalier 2.0 8v sri.



need: parts checklist


general procedure.


and any hints tips? like little things that'll mean i'll have to take the engine out again 4 the sake of something really small.

wot about the driveshafts and hubs?


how much harder is it to fit a 16v redtop rather than a 2 litre 8v?

its not really, theyre both pretty much the same block and gearbox wise.

As with a XE, you need 22spline shafts, cav 1.6 mk2 inner cvs, nova outers.
Plus your best welding the bay etc as well.
Its no more harder to fit a xe.

You'll also need an injection tank and pump.

Use good suspension up front with HD springs to handle extra weight.

Upgrade brakes to 16v or preferably 288mm V6 stuff.
