looking to get a set of alpines in 15x6.5 fitment. Just wondering what sort of price is a good price for them. also tyre help. i am told i need 195/45/15 but to save a bit of cash would it make a big difference if i got 195/50/15, i know the speedo would out but any other problems. i have a 5 door nova so i don't think scrubbing will be a problem with 45 offset so do i really need such low profile tyres. or shall i get the lower profile as they look better. also looking to get new shocks and springs any advice on best makes. thinking about some konis as i can get them cheep from work, any other makes people recommend(not to expensive). you've probably fallen asleep by now reading this
any advice would be good
cheers

I have alpines, lookin to get 15's myself,
they r nice wheels. You don't need particularly low profile tyres but it depends on the drop. Go about 40mm.
If u can get Koni coilovers definitely get them as long term it will make puttin bigger rims on easier.
the 195\45 is the best offset. (i think :-/)

i got 15" alpines on 195/45's lowered 50mm. Looks great-i say go for the 45's cos the wheels arent that big and it really adds to them+they're just of the arch with 45's. You can ouck up alpines for bout ?350 now neway with 45's!

Nova say never

Alpines aren't all that expensive any more. You can pick up a set of 15's with tyres for ?400. I used to have them on my car. I had 195/50/15's and lowered 60mm on G-Max kit. It scraped a bit but my wheels weren't et45. You should be fine on et45 with 50/15's if you go for a 30 - 45 mm drop. Also you will need to cut or roll your rear arches whit 15's and a drop like 35mm.
