hi chaps.
i've had a price for a powerflow ehaust system and i was wondering if it sounded about right? i was quoted ?280, that included a pipe from my 4-1 with a single box where my curent middle silencer is and a pipe from there straight out the back in the center, dead easy hardly any bends especially as i have no spare wheel well. if i wanted a twin exit it would be ?340.

are them prices about average? the only other thing is that i wouldn't get the lifetime guarentee as it's a track car :(

thanks
ben.

Yeah sounds about right, I had a custom twin box system, cost ?500 down from the downpipe, they cut the spare wheel well & its loud! Nothing better then two oval functionning boxes! hmm:cool: Best of all, it doesnt wobble or even move, they make really good exhaust mounting brackets

heard bad things about powerflow exhausts, for example, been told that some systems may have say a 2 1/2" bore, yet the bore inside the silence isn't 2 1/2" etc etc, things like that

They appear to use quite cheap main tubing, Most I've seen have had surfade corrosion within 3 months due to suvh a low nickel content.

yup my mates rusted and then snapped in very little time! i think on an exhaust you realy want 316L stainless no lower, 316L is expensive but worth the extra cash imo

All the powerflow systems i've ever removed on cars i've broke have been pretty much rotted away due to cheap metal they use, also the bends aren't brilliant, if you want a good exhaust you need one mandrel bent really.

Very true mate, I wish I could convince my cousin to get a nice mandrel bender for his tyre + exhaust place, I would almost work there for free if he did!

Yeah they certainly make a difference, some exhausts i've seen are almost flat in places where exhaust makers have got a bit excited.

hi lads the weld on powerflow rot first and any way the exhaust rots from inside out so it may look good on the outside but you dont no what the inside is like its up to you realy either way you get a realy good guarentee so nothing to worry about :thumb: if it get a hole in just take it back and they will replace it cannot grumble at that
