Ahh someone has taken my advice! Looks ten times better m8!

Suggestions for nest mods - remove wing mounted ariel and get a Corsa beesting (more vertical than the rest - looks better imo) and do some nice 'factory' look touches - proper GM mudflaps (not crap eBay replicas), GM headlight protectors, rear headrest conversion if not already done - it's all about the details.

hard to explain really

dont have any pics of anything without surrounds atm the nova at the top of this page doesnt have them, the following pic does

Window surrounds look like this:

..the dark grey metal edges round the windows. Found on GTE's, GSi's, SRi's, SR's(?) and some special editions.

This is a comparison against a nova with NO frames:

i completely disagree with the window surrounds......

i dont know why weveryone is obsessed with doing a gsi lookalike.......

u can still stay tidy and bodykit free......but keep individual at the same time

u dont always have 2 follow the norm mate....

personally i think they look far better without the surrounds.unless u are going for a 'look-a-like'

I just think they tidy up the window lines nicely. IMO window frames do not make the GSi...

yes i can notice the diffrence now and i like the gsi surounds might have 2 treat my nova 2 some

drill holes in the lip of wing and behind wheel lol

u can get proper clips to hold them on but the mudflap will point inwards a bit although this will not damage your car

plan B anyone?

keep looking, advertise in the wanted on this site, or look through the parts for sale section as there is loads of people breaking gsi's or gte's whatever

Jus thort that id add that window surrounds on a nova look sooo much beter than when they dont hav them, they look odd and bare without them. L

i have front Gm mudflaps on mine, they just clamp onto the wing lips.
They just about fit.

I would love to do away with the frames on my sr and lead-fill the grooves around the window, just haven't got the facilities to do it.

Yeah they just clamp on - front and rear, with the fronts I tend to gently bend the metal frame (that the plastic mudflap is attached to) back towards the car a little, this stops it catching on the wheel when on lock, only really needed for cars with bigger than standard wheels and lower than standard suspension, I also cut a small piece out of the rear passenger side one to account for it rubbing on the exhaust backbox but it's nothing to serious to solve.

Ahh ye, i too had to take a hacksaw to the rear pass side so it missed the exhaust.

I think the fronts clear my 15s fine, well, i dont hear any rubbing when turning,Lol.
