rear arches rolled wrong.

i am half way through preparing my nova for spraying and the person who owned the car before me has cut the lip of the rear arches instead of rolling them to get the 17's on!!! :mad:


Wats the best way to solve them so that they wont rust after six months of been sprayed? As it is the inner arche isnt welded to the outer arch and water can get between them.

Can i stich weld down them and seal them or would it be eaiser to put some weld on arches on or even new rear quaters???:confused:

If whats left isnt corroded then I can't see any reason why you couldn't stich weld them, just take it easy and try not to get too much heat into the panels to avoid warping them, do a stitch at one end, then the opposite and work your way back and forth until you get to the middle, try to allow a couple of minutes between each adjacent weld.
