nice work mate
So.....
its finally moved out of the garage lee lol
progress looks good, when do you expect it to be done, im sure you told me, but i've forgotten
Should have it back from all the welding next weekend and then it needs to go for paint. Getting front crossmember cut so I can try and get intercooler behind a standard GSi bumper for sleeper look.
nice one
if you need a hand when it back, give us a shout, alway up for helping
Cheers.
Should be fun refitting all the glass without scratching the car and refitting the engine and gearbox lol
deffinately lol
can see it nowt, car wrapped in bubble wrap while engine fitting's taking place
Will probably have no bonnet and wings on when I fit the engine so should be ok, most worried about getting the glass back in. Interior should be easy seen as there is none. lol
Nice one Lee, some good progress there. :)
Nice to see u keeping the faith. Can I have my drill back??

Its good to see its not just Rick M. and myself who take ages to get things done !!!!
Good to see some progress - and you're right - its a real pain trying to get all the glass back in without scratching the paint work!
I would highly recommend a dose of waxoyl before you rebuild!

Its back now with all the welding done so been cutting the bumper to fit round the intercooler and just finishing off the jobs I can do before it goes for paint.
Would get some pics up but only have a computer at work. Rick Draper was round to see it the other night but never thought to ask him to take some pics. :tard:

Got exams coming up but looking to get it somewhere for painting just after them.
Benn - Turrets were cut out due to rust. When car was first seam welded I had the welds smoothed in with filler and this caused the metal underneath to rust so wanted to do something about it.
will have to bob down and have a nosey lee, offers still there for when you need a hand
Feel free mate. Take it you sorted an alternator the other night seen as I never heard back from you?
