De-locking!

Ive seen a few novas that r fully de-locked, a flush rear and nice smooth doors, it looks great! and its good security wise! I plan to do the same eventually, But.......i have been told that u need a mechanical way of entry to the car if ya battery fails and ya remote/central lockin dont work or summit, to pass an MOT, so i was wonderin if ne1 could shead ne light upon this matter?

For the Mot just attatch some wire/string to the opening mechanism and have it hanging out from the door.
Mechanical way of entry-one passed MOT.
