32/34 :thumb:
Could always try and fit a Weber 38DGAS carb on the inlet.. Its a twin 38mm carb with funky throttle opening. Lots of the Ford locost cars have them as the "gt" carb, thing is its a bit tall lol

I've had a fairly tuned 1.2 engine running on 40s and then a 32/34. When i switched from the 40s to the twinchoke, i could'nt feel any loss of power when driving, but the bhp figures may had changed, never had it on RR, but as i said i could'nt feel any loss of power. But to be honest my 40s where not fully setup, the jetting seemed to be fine, but i'm sure the balance was'nt right. I would definetly recommend the webber 32/34, suprisingly powerful for a twinchoke, smoother running and thats with a 295 cam lol :-) Plus ultra reliable, but i think your proberly intrested more in power, but yes i can definetly recommend it even for power.
Cheers, much would a decient 32/34 carb go for or worth?

They're often on e-bay, new ones go for between ?150-?250 iirc, on-line auto sport (http://www.tuning.co.uk/vauxshop/) currently have them at ?239. Used ones can be had for as lttle as ?50.
a T40 unit on its own..? the effort to make an inlet up to use it properly will far out weigh doing two T40's on a correct easily sourced manifold
I can vouch for the last comment!
yeah but your setup looks rather good. anyway your only using one tube of a single T40unit :D
I've just got to sort out a throttle linkage now. The one I have is kind of in the wrong place, I think I need to get the proper Weber underslung jobbie......more expense!
gettin myself a rebuilt 23/24 now will 1300 inlet and carb so thats me happy. only thing i need now is new followers and the wee bits that sit on top of the valve springs
lol was watchin tv and not what i was typin. 32/34 i ment. i found these followers on ebay. would they do the job?

What the funk are they, lol
They should be fine, as they say they fit c14nz etc etc, so 8v ohc engines.
Dont know what that pic is tho.
the vaux breakers over here says he can get new ones for about 36quid so i mite just get them. dont like the look of the ones on ebay.

Yeah but A-series mini's generally only have two inlet ports on the head.

take a look at that, i know it says for the diesal engine on the outside but they look like the followers i need. it says it will suit a 1600 engine
