1.2-what will fit from 1.4sr, both carb

Hi
I got a 1.2 H-reg carb merit
my mate has a 1.4sr H-reg
what will fit from his car onto mine
His engine on way out and don't have time money to fit it
Could i fit the carb?
I know i'l prob need an inlet from a 1.3 to fit it
what about the whole head off his 1.4 ? will it fit?

what about exhaust system/ manifold?

Any help would be really helpful, have time to do things as its a project nova but not much money

Fitting the whole head wouldn't be a good thing to do as this would considerably lower your compression ratio and it doesn't have very good air flow, stick with your 1.2 head.

The carb will will fit with right manifold but I would imagine it would need re-jetting.

The exhaust manifold and system would be a good idea. Manifold has 2 downpipes which should get the gases to flow a bit better

The cam would help things a little bit as well but I'm not sure about the dizzy fitting. the 1.2 cam will have a slot fitting for the dizzy but not sure what the 1.4 would have. Anyone?

There used to be a really good guide on modding a 1.2 on a tight budget. Maybe someone could dig it out.

Yep, fit his exhaust manifold and downpipe/system.
The carb will fit with a 1.3 inlet.

The cam will fit too, and is better than the 1.2 carb cam, but as said above you might have problems with the dizzy drive.
I think 1.4s have a pin drive, not a slot.
