eco or redtop help me please.

Hi guy. Ive bought a 2ltr 16v ecotec engine. But im having second thoughts on doing the conversion. I dont know to sell it and buy a redtop 1 instead. is their must power loss in these. please help

buy red top i just did!lol i am led to beleave the eco dnt fit well does but more work less power and softer engine well thats my opinion go 4 red top power

redtop all day long,ecotech only have about 125bhp when redtops have around 150bhp.and are alot faster

the difference is one letter on the engine code, think it relates to slightly different management, the eco can be just as good as the origional xe.

if your going to tune it there is feck all difference. Most XE's these days are 10 years old and ahve atleast 100K on them so they wont be 150bhp anymore... so its all achedemic really

Go for an ECO. 136bhp.
Newer engine.

Most original XEs will be in need of a rebuild by now so wont be near there 150bhp factory figure,unless they have been rebuilt.

Fitting process is the same for both. The eco has different management system iirc.
