sorry for the bother again, but the 1.4 sr engine i was going to buy isnt for sale any more :(
so any advice on a good powerfull engine would be grteat, im after something on carbs but nothing more than a 1.6
its goto go into my spi nova :D
any advice would be appreciated :thumb:

cool, would i get a 1.6 from a gte/gsi? or are there any other sort of 1.6 apart from the spi i can get?

Ye, use a GTE/GSi engine.

cool, if i were not to use t40's would i be able to use a twin choke single carb?

if your not going to use T40's then stick with the MPI system

Ye, either T40s, or stick with MPI.
MPI is much much better than a single carb.

whats that the 16 valvers?
im not overly keen on the wireing. does anyone know where needs strengthening in the engine bays?

yeah 1.4 valver, iv seen one in this months TV, is there much wireing involved?

1600sv small block engine out of a cavalier or astra the make good power and are easy to get, they come fitted with twin choke pierburgs standard
