Would a healthy, looked after nova 1.3 sr (F reg) with skimmed and gas flowed head, K&K bolt on filter and a full zorst (except manifold) be as quick as a nova 1.4 sr or even a nova GTE?

I keep hearing that novas are well quick for their engine sizes, cos they are light and have performance parts on therm, such as twin choke carbs etc...but without being biased (cos u might have a 1.4sr or a nova GTE) could anyone tell me the truth, without just reading bullshit from max power?

What do u rekon the 0-60 time would be? about 9.5?

Please be honest cos there's so much bullshit going about with people saying "my nova's quicker than yours" etc...i just need an honest answer...

i would say it will deffinately be quicker that a 1.4, and i doubt it'll be as quick as a gte, but they'll strugle to loose u!

hey m8 it will b quick but if the 1.4 nova has had anything done u may get a very good race

the thing is m8, look at it this way... your 1.3 may be quick as a standard 1.4. but everyone ever has done something to their nova! youll only really get the race off modded cars m8 i reckon. ive got a slightly modded 1.4sr and i often see off xr2s m8.

Alright Ged. My mate whos very trustin had a 1.3SR with skimmed head and stuff, weber carb, exhaust and all the other needed mods and I've witnessed him bet the fuck out of a GTE for the spot, but top end on a GTE is a lot better.

Well, believe it or not, but I've got a 1.2L A-reg with 128,000 on the clock, and it does a top speed of 114mph!!!
Thats only with K&N bolt on filter and a exhust backbox, and a well tuned engine! Make your own osumptions!
