yep agree. my clear lights has passed both times with just a red bulb for the fog light, bollocks to needing a separate one!

AutoXS have just got some clear rear lights which dont need a red bulb, they already have the bit of red plastic for the fog lamp. They are UK approved and are ?95 for the set.

with my clear clusters i just put a bit of red filter in there it done the trick
it depends how your local garage fell about it mine even passed the mot with the clear reflecters as well to make them legal you need to fit red reflecters to the rear of you car some where

i am on the save for a new motor
