I am fitting a 1.6 16v In my mates 1.2 nova. I have the engine, gearbox, loom and ecu etc coming next week. What can I do about the fuel tank, lines and pump? There are no nova's in my local scrappy's(lots of astra's and corsa?). Can I use any bit off them for the fuel system? What about the bottom pulley? The drive shafts are the same for the F10 and the F15?
He want to fit discs all round, Am I right in thinking I can use the front and rears off a Calibra.

Thanks very much
Matt;)

IMO stick with drums on the back.
Fit 256/288mm on the front, depending on what wheels you have.

Is the nova a 1.2 carb or 1.2i?

It's a 1.2 carb, I told him to stick with the drums but he wants discs on the back. He is running 17's at the mo. What size are the Calibra's?

Thanks Matt

You will need to change fuel tank and pump then.
GSI/Gte tank, and GSi/GTE pump.
Or SPI tank and a MPi corsa/astra pump.

Rear discs are 260mm, front calibra 16v are 256, and turbo are 284 or 288mm iirc.

Also, if its an ecotec (X16) you will have fun getting around the immobiliser

Use the bottom pulley of a later Gsi (C16) or Sri, with the teeth for the crank sensor on them.

Drive shafts are the same.

Ye, if its a X16xe, you will need the ignition barrel, and the transponder out of the car key.
Else your engine wont be doing any running,Lol.

You can get the immobiliser circuit removed by modding the ecu, IIRC it costs about ?50, not sure of anyone that can do it tho.

The ignition barrel and transponder are coming with the engine.

Thanks

Matt.
