any one know if these can be bought off the shelf in carbon or shiney. ive had one on order from Mike Oxford for 3 or 4 years but some how i dont think its going to turn up! last me and twag were told it was in the post 3 years agolol
any way any one know if they can be bought? by cover i mean the gap which the battery and blower sit in

woa! this is my first ever post in this section!!

Every one is different, depends on how far back u move the bulkhead especially if you fitted a valver!

my cardboad temple is finished,getting the plastic in the week...and moved the bulkhead? never touched mine....

I have one made from 5 bar aluminium on mine , Its very neat and fits well I think martin hill made it up, But I have seen them in carbon fibre, Im sure brett warbutons ex motor had one? Maybe speak to fearless or brett?:thumb:

The one on Bretts Nova - I made out of a flat sheet of Carbon Fibre

I made a template out of cardboard to be sure it fitted and then cut it out of Carbon Fibre - sanded the edges and fitted it

Be sure to insulate/cover the terminals on the battery - carbon fibre is a very good conducter !!!!!!!

Sorry for bumping up an old thread .... finally got round to making my scuttle cover today, already had a cardboard template made, bought some 3mm Foamex & some Anthracite sticky back vinyl from a local sign wrighters (?15).
Think it looks ok for 30 mins work !!

looks great rich good work, i recently made one from alloy chequer plate and sold it lol, bet if your willing to spend another few fourty minutes you make yourself a pund - baxters the first name on the list anyway lol

I welded a L shaped bracket at either side, then stuck it on with some velcro, could do with some kind of supoort in the middle as well.
Its dead simple to make one ... get a peice of card and cut it to so it just fits between the wings then lay it in place and draw a line along the bulkhead bit to get the shape, cut some bits out for the hinges and thats the template done !! ;)

mine sits in there nice and tight,but i do have the header tank in there 2,but have used a lil velcrow hidden in a place to hold it up on a different nova,
