im guessing this is the same graham i took for a spin in mine last year, you dont need a diff ect.. but it will transform the way the car drives a must have for a track car. Im on my second ATB at the moment, its more thna up to the job or though other people will say other things.

a diff wont really help "that" much at pod, but it will help on the road/track
im not a fan of ATB's but meh

As stu says its effects on the supersticky surface at Pod are debatable. Its well worth it on a fast front wheel drive road car for general road use - it has the advantage of not requiring any of the maintenance that plate diffs do. You need to be aware that in certain conditions - ie wet mixed in with dry on un even surfaces for example, it will have the effect of snatching the front about as the drive is transferred back and forth. Its easy to adjust to tho once you realise what its trying to do. If you aren't doing a lot of mileage and dont mind getting it overhauled from time to time a plate diff probably delivers better overall resistance to loss of grip although you may find you get some alarming noises from a bit of tortional wind up when pootling about and turning sharply!
