I'm after a special tool that puts a slight flare on the edge of a hole : the result is usually seen on alloy floor plates etc

The only places I've found are

http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=9120 (http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=9120)

and

http://www.irvansmith.com/catalog2/p...an_flare.shtml (http://www.irvansmith.com/catalog2/parts/irvan_flare.shtml)

The frost ones are only down the road from me but quite expensive for what they are !!!

The ones from america are cheap but postage costs are over ?50

Anyone know where I can get them from in the UK

Cheers

Dave

If you bought one of those anyway you could always make and sell custom floor plates to members and on ebay & make the money back - just a suggestion.

you could always just get a large impact socket and then hammer the back side into the hole to flare it... or is that a bodge? lol
