I have an SBD exhaust Manifold to put on my car (X16XE Engine) the lambda sensor boss comes separate and you have to fit it yourself (not a problem)

does it matter where on the manifold it is fitted?

It wants fitting where all the pipes go into one( the collector)
You might need a heated lambda sensor tho, im not sure whether x16xe standard lambdas are heated or not.

Cheers for the reply's

i'm running a standard X16XE Engine at the moment until I have the cash for throttle bodies later this year so the standard Lambda sensor will be ok for now!

I assume all Lambda sensors are the same size so you just screw one out and and replace as required?

Ye, you should just be able use your lambda sensor out the standard Gm manifold, if you can get it out,Lol.

It might not work well tho, as it might not get hot enough, which is why you should fit a heated lambda sensor.
You could just try it, and see what happens.
You might get the ECU light coming on reporting a lambda fault.

And remeber not to touch the sensor when/if you take it out mate.
