View Full Version : diffences in gsi an sr manifold an downpipe
whats the difference in gsi an sr manifold an down pipe ?
The flange on the downpipe finishes straight on a SR, and at an angle on a GTE/GSi/SRi.

gsi/sri have lambda sensor bosses too.
i thought gte,s were made before cats
is it just the flange thats on an angle or the hole bottom part of the manifold if its just flange i can cut it off an weld my sr flange on right?
can the lambda sensor hole be plugged with a bolt or do any other cars use same sensor so i can get one from scrappy an plug it?

Yea, you could plug up the lambda hole with a bolt.
But its a large size IIRC, about 22mm.
Or just screw a lambda into it without connecting it up.
Only late GSi's will have lambda holes.
