I'm thinking of getting some SR/i 14" steelies for everyday use on my nova, but i'm not sure whether these will fit over 16v calipers.

Anyone got any experience/knowledge of this?

What size are the steelies from the SR/SRi? my Cav ones are the older 14 x 5.5j with 13 big holes, these mean i can fit 195 55 x14 toyo t1 r tyres on :)

My black SR steel wheels wouldn't clear my 16v brakes.
They are 14" 5J IIRC.
You need 5.5J to fit without having to grind the caliper etc

the sri ones do fit over the 2lt brakes as do the gte ones, althought they are one in the same

Mine dont.

They probably would with worn discs and pads, but mine wouldn't fit with my new pads/discs.

These are the ones i have, if they are the ones you mean:-
I think there are two types, one 5j width, and the other 5.5J width. Mine are 5J, and rubbed the caliper when you tried to spin the wheel.

yea the sri steelies do fit, but you need the pads and disc's to be worn otherwise they wont fit
